The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) is a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children, and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms.
NCJW is the nation's oldest Jewish women's volunteer organization. NCJW operates over 1,600 community service projects in local communities and at the state and national level, as well as in Israel.
For over a century, the National Council of Jewish Women has been at the forefront of social change—championing the needs of women, children and families. NCJW courageously takes a progressive stance on such issues as child welfare and women's rights.
